How to Do an Indian Head Massage

The Indian head massage, also known by the portmanteau "Champissage" ( Chämpi—the Indian word for massage + massage ), is based on the ancient Ayurvedic form of healing that dates back almost 4,000 years. It works the upper three Chakras: Vishuddha, Ajna, and Sahasrara,  and can be used for physical harmony, for healing, for vitality, and for good, old-fashioned relaxation. No wonder it's becoming so popular in the west! For instructions on how to perform the Indian head massage, watch this video.

Dan Brown:Inferno

I am the Shade. Through the dolentcity, I flee. Through the eternal woe, I take flight. Along the banks of the river Arno, I scramble, breathless . . . turning left onto Via dei Castellani, making my way northward, and huddling in the shadows of the Uffizi. And still they pursue me. Their footsteps grow louder now as they hunt with relentless determination.
Above is an excerpt from the latest book in the Dan Brown series; ‘Inferno’ which was released on 14th May 2013, 4 years after the previous book called ‘The Lost Symbol’.
It is the 6th installment of the series which consists of; The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, Digital Fortress, Deception Point, The Lost Symbol and now Inferno.  The book features the character Robert Langdon, the Harvard Professor of Symbology which has featured in 3 of the previous books and is set in the heart of Italy. The book is based around one of history’s most mysterious literary masterpieces – Dante’s Inferno.

This series of books are thrillers based around historical/religious events, one book in particular, The Da Vinci Code, causing lots of controversy throughout the religious community. The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons have both been turned into fantastic films however some readers say they prefer the books.
As usual, the book is filled with mathematical riddles and scientific puzzles for Robert Langdon to crack as he and an absurdly intelligent nurse learn how Dante’s ‘divine comedy’ can help them foil a plot by an evil genius. The entire book is set in the historic city of Florence in the heart of beautiful Italy. Dan Brown fans all over the world were anticipating the release of the new book after a long 4 year wait.
Jayne Saggs, a big fan of Dan Brown who has read all of his books says “All of the previous books are excellent, so well written. It really draws me in and I can usually read them in a week. Any other books take me much longer to read.” She added “I pre-ordered it a few weeks ago and I can’t wait for it to arrive”

If you’re a fan of thrillers based around historical events then the Dan Brown books are definitely for you and for Dan Brown fans we are sure there’s another book just around the corner.

How to Make Cheesecake Pancakes

Pancakes are loved by millions of people across the globe. Pancakes are a type of flattened bread made from a specific baking mix. Some countries, like the United States and Canada, serve pancakes for breakfast while others, such as those in Europe, serve pancakes as desserts or even as side items. Pancakes can be eaten plain, with butter, sprinkled with powdered sugar or filled with pastry, fruits or cheeses. Whatever the tradition, pancakes are a truly universal and enjoyable treats. And in this article, you'll learn how to make pancakes that taste like cheesecake. Irresistible!

How to Be Mature as a Teen

As we know, maturing can be difficult. Here we are going to give you some tips, telling you how you can be mature easily and simply.

          • Use your manners:
Say please and thank you. A parent should never ask you to use your manners. You should always remember your manners. At the table, put the napkin on your lap, chew with your mouth closed, never reach for food, and always say please and thank you.

          • Do what your told
When a parent, teacher, or any adult asks you do do something, always do it. Do it the first time given. Say something like " yes sir or ma'am" or "okay."

          • Control your emotions
When you get mad, never swear at anyone. It is mean and can offend people. Try to hold your anger in. It can be hard, but it holding it in is the best thing to do. Swearing will get you in trouble.

          • Follow all your house rules
Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil : They may seem unfair but they are to keep you safe. Your parents do it because they love you. Talk to them if the rules seem unfair, but do it nicely.

          • Be responsible
Keep up with all homework. Study for tests. Do all your chores. Do them without being told. If you have a job, always show up for it.

          • Handle consequences:

Don't yell at your parents or the punishment will increase. Just do what you are told and soon enough, it will be over.

          Tests and Exams

How to Prepare for an Exam

Preparing for an exam can be stressful and time-consuming, but it doesn't have to be! By doing a couple simple things ahead of time, you can ensure that you are confident and ready for anything the test throws at you.

          • The very first thing to address is when to begin.
You must start the process with at least a full night’s sleep between you and the exam. Your brain needs time to subconsciously digest everything you've put into it, so you cannot try to cram it all in an hour or two before the exam. The best time to start the process is between the morning and early afternoon of the day before your exam, a good 24-36 hours prior to the start of the test.

          • Now read through the entirety of your notes that will be on the exam

If it’s two pages or twenty pages, this is important. It will refresh you on the subject matter and help you remember what you learned. It will also help to make you aware of all the little bits of information and where they are located within your notes so that you know where to find them when you begin to organize the information.

          • Once you have a sense of where everything fits together, you are going to want to
start thinking about how you can group all the information into relevant sections
You will also want to think about how you want to group them, be it based on a specific theme, chronology or by concept.

          • When you have identified the major themes, now is the time that you can use Wikipedia  or other online sources to fill in the gaps of information that either you missed or which wasn't explained clearly.
You can now use the theme that you discovered to guide your research and help you determine what information is relevant to the test.

          • By now you should have all the information that you will need to study written out and
divided by topic onto separate pieces of paper
            .
This is the point at which you can begin creating a narrative from the information and indexing it in a way that it can be easily remembered on the day of the exam.

          • The method if indexing information can be thought of like creating an information tree.
Write the major themes of the exam you came up with onto separate piece of paper. Those are the first branches of the tree. Underneath the themes (which you just determined) are sub-themes, which are the more refined groupings of information within each theme. Below the sub-themes write the topics.

          • As you start memorizing, concentrate on one major theme at a time until you know it
            well
Once you have the theme and all the information below it pretty well memorized, you can move on to the next one until you have committed to memory everything you need to know for the exam.

          • For the first major theme, start at the top and just read through the tree
After you have refreshed yourself with a general understanding of the information, focus on learning "phrases" for each topic that will help you recall what that information was about.

          • After you feel confident that you know every theme, put down your studying and take a
            break from the subject
The idea is not to try to cram everything at once into your short-term memory. You want to give your brain time to subconsciously internalize all the information you shoveled at it. For this reason it’s important to start the process at least the day before the exam.

          • On the day of the exam, set your alarm at least two hours before the test
An hour and a half before the exam, start running through all the themes and sub-topics in your head. Like always, check your notes if you get stuck. This is when it’s time to cram—try as hard as you can to commit all the tiny details to short-term memory. You’ll want to try to memorize everything you've prepared, but! 15 minutes before the exam, stop! In the last few minutes you should not be thinking about the exam at all. Relax and take a few deep breaths, if you followed the steps above everything should be fine!

          GOOD LUCK ~~
